Mindful Diving™
MDI PRO · THE GUIDE
MDI PRO
Independent affiliation, on one page.
Everything the MDI PRO path asks of you, and everything it gives back — who it is for, what each tier may certify, the six steps, the water checklist, and the three things that keep the quality honest.
Who it is for
- Freelance instructors who teach without a center behind them.
- Travelling guides and boat professionals working across operations.
- Small operations and independent teams of one or two.
- Professionals who keep their own agency, and add the presence layer.

The six steps
01
MD-3 online + the Vow
Complete MD-3 Mindful Dive Leader™ in your own account and sign the Vow on one of your credentials.
02
Apply
One page: your agency, rating, instructor number, credential link, insurance declaration, and your signature on the PRO Code.
03
Review & number
We read every application by hand. On approval you receive your PRO number, MDIP-YYYY-NNN, and a public registry entry.
04
Invite students
Your divers study the online course in their own account. You see progress, never their private reflections.
05
Dual-signature water verification
A guided checklist per level, drawn from ARRIVE and FFLN. Your diver confirms it from their phone — no confirmation, no certificate.
06
Certify + survey
One certification credit issues one verifiable credential, stamped with your PRO number. The diver receives a short quality survey.
The MD-1 water checklist
Drawn from canon. MD-2 is the same arc led for another diver; MD-3 the same arc led for a group, including the debrief.
- ARRIVE led aloud before kitting up, as a pre-briefed and optional practice.
- Readiness scan shared with colours — green, amber, red — and the answer respected.
- Buddy agreement made with the five prompts, inside the agency's buddy check.
- Five-channel scan carried out underwater as briefed, never during a task-critical phase.
- One still minute at a stable point, when the situation allowed it.
- FFLN debrief completed at the surface interval.
Every item is a pre-briefed practice offered inside the dive plan, optional at every step. Slow, continuous breathing only — never breath-holding or skip-breathing on scuba.
Three things keep this honest
Dual-signed water
Every certification carries two signatures: yours and the diver's own confirmation from their phone.
Public verification
Every PRO number and every credential resolves on a public page anyone may check.
Live QA standing
Post-certification surveys form a running average. It is visible to you, and it governs your tier.
