The publishing process and the call for papers of the Mindful Diving Institute.
What we publish
Empirical studies, replications, instrument work, protocol registrations, field reports from centers, pedagogical evaluations and state-of-the-field reviews — anything that moves the evidence for diving, attention and wellbeing forward. English or Spanish. Written by researchers, instructors and centers alike; a good field report is worth more than a weak trial.
Call for papers — eight domains
- · Physiological mechanisms
- · Psychological outcomes
- · Instructor training & wellbeing
- · Ecological impact & stewardship
- · Clinical applications
- · FP20 measurement & validation
- · Pedagogical innovation
- · Policy & global scaling
The process, in five steps
- 1. Submit to research@mindfuldivinginstitute.com
An abstract, or the full manuscript. English or Spanish, either is welcome. - 2. Editorial review — weeks, not months
Read by the Research Council against the standard's evidence line. You get a decision and named reasons. - 3. Designed edition + Hub landing page
Typeset in the Institute's editorial system, with a permanent page on the Research Hub. - 4. DOI — Zenodo MDI community, OpenAIRE, Crossref deposit
Archived and indexed the day it publishes. The identifier never moves. - 5. ORCID auto-sync + Scholar tags + Journal announcement
It lands on your ORCID record, is readable by Google Scholar, and is announced to the community.

- · The amber culture applies to science too: say the true thing early.
